Description- For one of my Pal 1s, I went to the student art Gallery in room 50 and room 70 in Julian Hall. There I observed different artist From Illinois State University like Melanie Portnow and Logan Shaw.

Rational- My engagement with the student art gallery in rooms 50 and 70 of Julian Hall exemplifies my commitment to professionalism, leadership, and advocacy in several ways. Firstly, by taking the initiative to visit the gallery, I demonstrate my dedication to staying informed and engaged with the broader educational community, showcasing your professionalism as an educator. Moreover, by observing the work of artists from Illinois State University such as Melanie Portnow and Logan Shaw, I exhibit leadership within the learning community by actively seeking out opportunities to learn from and collaborate with fellow educators and artists. My willingness to explore different artistic perspectives and practices not only enriches my own professional development but also contributes to the growth and enrichment of the broader learning community. Furthermore, my visit to the gallery and observation of student artwork underscores my advocacy for students and their artistic endeavors. By valuing and celebrating the creative expression of students, I advocate for their voices to be heard and their talents to be recognized within the educational context. This advocacy not only supports students' artistic growth and confidence but also fosters a culture of appreciation for the arts within the school community. Overall, my engagement with the student art gallery demonstrates my embodiment of professionalism, leadership, and advocacy as an ethical and reflective practitioner, thereby meeting the expectations outlined in Standard 9 of the IPTS.
